So I just realized how much I LOVE Christmas! I've known that I have always loved this holiday but for some reason, as the holiday approaches, I feel the warmth in my heart begin to swell. Growing up, Christmas always meant family, yummy food, cousins, reading Jesus' birth in the Bible, cuddling, bright lights, hot chocolate, and Christmas cartoons. Now that I have grown up, my family has been broken, we have drifted apart, and we have all gotten older. Now, it's just my husband and I and our immediate families(which is wonderful, but different).
Right now I am watching Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas and I feel that warmth again. I feel the hope and the excitement. I know that all the "hype," decorations, and presents is not what Christmas is about; it's about Jesus and his birth but I like all the stuff that adds to remembrance of Him! I like the smells, feelings, and tastes that Christmas brings and I decided, it's never too early to celebrate so... today I will gladly watch my Christmas cartoon and enjoy my warm hot chocolate and embrace the holiday and all that comes with it as it approaches!
