Step up and step out.

I'm not sure if it's because spring has sprung, here in Colorado but, I feel so alive, thankful, joyful, and just simply happy. I'm in a season of life where I feel it's easy to enjoy all that is around me. I guess after months of cold and dead things, the flowers and green trees that Spring has brought forth is something worth being thankful for. I love hearing the birds chirp and singing their melodious songs. I love the smell of sweet blossoms in the breeze. I love the warmth of the sun on my skin (I can't live without the sun). All  of these things literally bring joy and anticipation to my heart. I feel that, not only is the Lord physically bringing forth life in this season, but spiritually as well within me.

I feel that He is bringing lots of opportunity for me to grow in my gifts and life. It is really scary and sometimes I feel like I'm as vulnerable as ever. Like I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve trying not to be afraid of what might happen to it and at the same time guarding it out of fear of rejection and failure, but so far it's been worth it. To trust God and the plans He has for me. To believe the gifts He's put in me are real and to step out and Trust that He will bless how I use them and that He will put His anointing on them. Gaaahhhh! It's tough. Sometimes I feel unqualified but then I remind my self of a few truths: Progress is progress, excellence takes time, and God doesn't call the equipped(sometimes), He equips the called. It's tough to remember those quotes, sometimes, but when I do remember, I feel boldness arise in me.

Like I said, sometimes it's scary to step out but in the long run, I will be happy I did. So I encourage you to step out in your gifts! Whatever that might be push yourself and "pretend" that you have confidence and eventually you won't be pretending anymore. I've definitely learned that with singing. I'm STILL growing in that but so far it's been worth that first step. :-)

P.S.
