Good morning,
I hope this note finds you well. Today is day 7 in my blog challenge and the question is what are 3 passions you have?
Well, I've pretty much wrote about things that I love that I am also passionate about so let me see if I can come up with some different answers....
1. Well, I hope this isn't to cliche but I am very passionate about Jesus. I have grown up in the church my whole life and for those of us who have, know that as we grow up, we have to find God for ourselves; we can't worship our parent's God, and I have done that. I encountered Jesus and I will never be the same. Jesus has met me where I am in my life and continuously loves on me and encourages me. He is not a mean God and He is not somewhere hidden in the cosmos but He is right here. He is with me in my Spirit and in my heart. He has shown me mercy and has adopted me as His daughter because of His love for me. Because He first loved me, I love Him and try to live my life that pleases Him the most. I will gladly lay down my comforts and pleasures and ultimately my life to live for Him because He is worthy. He is a worthy King whom I gladly give my heart and affections to. I am very passionate about my God!
2. Worship. I've always loved being in worship but I really love leading people in worship along with my husband. I've always enjoyed playing music and worship has been a way for me to express myself, especially when I learned about spontaneous worship which gives you more freedom to sing the song of your heart. I still need to grow in my confidence on stage and in my voice but from where I was 4yrs ago, I've grown tremendously. But sometimes during worship there is a shift in me and I just let loose. That's my favorite and it feels so good to be connected with the Holy Spirit and release what He is saying through song or even sing my deepest hearts prayers. I am definitely passionate about worship.
3. I also have a passion(or to be more acurate, compassion) for all things helpless. I remember I was telling my husband David about all these types of people that I love and he connected the dots for me. He said "So you basically have a heart for all things helpless" and it was like I had a huge revelation and it clicked that yes, yes I do love helpless things! I have such compassion for homeless people, old people, babies, orphans, and animals. These people can't do anything without help from others. Now I know homeless people can do something for themselves and aren't helpless in the sense that they have arms, legs, and a brain to get a job BUT ultimately they are completely broken and hopeless people who need help and love. Old people are capable to do most things but obviously need help in their old age and to me they are all so cute and I want to give every one a huge hug, make them my grandma or grandpa, and just sit and listen to all of their stories! Obviously babies are dependant on parents so they are definitely helpless but in that helplessness I want to be one that protects them and loves them fully. I want to hold them and never let go so that I can kiss them, hug them, teach them, and watch them grow! They melt my heart without a doubt! Kind of same with orphans. I've never met a real orphan but the fact that they were abandoned or don't have parents any more breaks my heart. I just want to hold them and let them know they are loved and that they are beautiful! I want them to know the truth about who they are and that they are important and comfort them. I also want to see them redeemed in the Lord and physically with a new family. Also, I know animals are not people but they are helpless as well. They are also very dependant and bring me so much joy. I love all animals and hate it when they are hurt or afraid. One thing I hate with every fiber in my being is animal abuse along with child abuse or any kind of abuse really. I HATE IT!! And the Lord has such a heart for all these people and I think for animals too. He created them and He loves His creations. They will all bow to Him at His return along with us! They know their maker. Any way, every time I see these people my heart either breaks or I become extremely overjoyed and my heart fills with love for all of them. I'm not sure what the Lord has planned for me and this love that I have for these types of people but I can't wait to find out!
So those are a few things I'm passionate about. What are some things you're passionate about?

One thing I am passionate about is gathering my family together. Wether it be for dinner, or a movie night, or some kind of "hanging out" time. I love each of you and I'm happiest when we are all together! :D
ReplyDeleteI love that you bring us all together mom! It has made me love having family time and now it's something that is important to me too! :-)
