Day 26: What popular notion do you think the world has wrong?

There's so much in the world that's wrong There's are a handful of things I believe that the world disagrees with and fights against. Though I can talk about multiple misunderstood ideas or beliefs, I think one of the most common/practical notions that I believe the world has wrong, is what beauty truly is. There may be some more important notions that I can talk about but the truth about beauty affects half of our world.
I just wish that girls knew how beautiful they really are and walk in genuine confidence of their real beauty. It breaks my heart to see young girls in such revealing clothes just because they look "cute" or want to get attention. I wish they understood that they don't need to expose their skin to be pretty or to put on loads of makeup to feel attractive(even though makeup and felling attractive aren't bad things). Modesty allows the people around you to see your real beauty without being distracted by the beauty of your flesh and I wish these young girls understood that!
I think that true pretty girls make all the girls around them feel pretty. There's no competition or intimidation, just comfort and acceptance. Someone who is a role model in this area for me is Audrey Hepburn. If you look through her photos on Google she is modest, elegant, beautiful, classy, confident, and humble. I've read about her and even heard an interview she did and she said that she was self conscious about different parts of her body but she did create a timeless look that will be remembered and strived for by many women and that it is attainable! She told women that they could look like her easily. I love that because it's inviting and she doesn't make her self seem "better than everyone else." On top of that, through out her career she was just herself. A lot of fashion designers wanted to change the way she looked and even add padding to places on her body where she was smaller but she said no. She was confident in who she was, and even if she wasn't perfect, allowed her real beauty to shine! I love her and I want to be like her when I grow up!

P.S. Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. - Proverbs 31:30.
